Description
Relisting, as it did not hit reserve which is now lowered. First off I appreciate your bids and apologies to those who sent me questions. I didn't see them until just now.
This Flylock was made approximately 100 years ago. It has been professionally restored, has metal wormgrove handles, blade cleaned and sharpened. It belongs in a high end early american auto collection. Always stored open. Push down the button and slide back, she fires and locks open quickly. To close push button to unlock and then close. A cool design patented by George Schrade; he oversaw production with his son under the Flylock brand until the company went out of business in 1928. I don't believe many were sold because these were kind of pricey at the time in the early nineteen hundreds as compared to other brands. This design was no doubt the basis for his military paratrooper knife design which came many years later. Has a slight up and down movement when open but can be expected for such an antique example. You will receive exactly the knife shown in the photos. No blade etch is visible and sold as is.
