This Flylock was made approximately 100 years ago. It has been professionally restored, painted metal handles, blade cleaned and sharpened. It belongs in a high end early american collection. Always stored open. Push down the button and slide back, she fires and locks open nicely. To close push button to unlock and close. A cool design patented by George Schrade; he oversaw production with his son under the Flylock brand until the company went out of business in 1928. I don't believe many were sold because these were kind of pricey at the time in the early nineteen hundreds as compared to other brands. This design was no doubt the basis for his military paratrooper knife design which came many years later. Has a slight up and down movement when open but can be expected for such an antique example. No blade etch visible and sold as is.
